Strategic Choices Founder and President, Alvin Parra spent most of his professional career in public serving and a legislative aid in Washington, DC and as a Senior Deputy to a Los Angeles County Supervisor as well with several other public service oriented organizations. After becoming disillusioned with politics in the mid 2000's, he sought a career change.

Fortunately, a friend introduced him to financial services and he found his passion; helping people without the politics. Alvin quickly received his Series 6 /63 License and his Life and Health and became one of the top agents in his agency, earning him several awards.

Teaching fellow agents to better serve their clients became natural evolution in his former position. Still frustrated that too many private sector employees 401k's plan were vulnerable to the Stock Market, Alvin studied for 2 years on how 401k's work, with the intention of bringing a safe no-risk option to 401k's. In 2010, Alvin created the first Fixed 401k agency and is committed to transforming the 401k industry to give all employees CHOICE, thus the name Strategic Choices.
